Announcing the 2024 HACSU Women's Forum

2023-12-13

Get ready for another empowering year as HACSU proudly presents the 2024 HACSU Women's Forum, happening on International Women's Day (Friday March 8th)!

This free event is a unique opportunity for HACSU women to come together, gain advocacy skills, and contribute to our grassroots movement for empowering union women.

We are thrilled to announce some amazing guest speakers for 2024:

  • Rosie Batty: A tireless advocate for domestic violence prevention, Rosie Batty is an Australian of the Year awardee. Her personal journey and advocacy work have inspired change and raised awareness about family violence.

  • Dr. Marilyn Waring: An internationally renowned economist, feminist, and former New Zealand Member of Parliament. Dr. Waring has dedicated her career to advocating for economic and gender equality.

These incredible women will share their insights, knowledge, and experiences, inspiring us all to advance towards a gender-equal future.

In alignment with UN Women's theme for International Women’s Day 2024, "Count Her In: Accelerating Gender Equality Through Economic Empowerment," our forum will explore pathways to greater economic inclusion for women and girls — core union business.

When: Friday 8 March 2024, 9:00AM – 3:30PM
