HACSU is proud to be a partner of this new initiative with Jobs Victoria to create 600 new jobs disability sector helping people who’ve been impacted by the pandemic and are looking to change careers.

We know that there is a growing need for disability support workers and other disability sector workers across our state, and we need to make sure that new jobs in this growing sector are good jobs.

This “earn and learn” scheme means people can earn an income while upskilling for a new career path.

Alongside this, the Victorian Government is supporting 400 current workers with training and development. The program is a partnership between the Workforce Innovation and Development Institute at RMIT University, the peak body for disability service organisations National Disability Services, unions, and disability service organisations.
