Announcement: Lloyd Williams Elected National Secretary of HSU

2018-11-23

We have some great news to share with you.

Last Friday (16 November), Lloyd Williams, HACSU State Secretary, was elected leader of the national Health
Services Union (HSU) – of which HACSU is a part.

Lloyd will also remain our State Secretary, however will be splitting his time between HASCU and the HSU National Office duties. This will allow him to be more active on the national issues affecting disability and mental health workers like the poor rollout of the NDIS and inadequate funding for mental health services.

In other exciting news, our Lead Industrial Officer, Kate Marshall, was also elected as a National Trustee of the HSU.

Our sincerest congratulations go out to both Lloyd and Kate – their advocacy at the national level will be critical in ensuring better wages and conditions for everyone working in the health and community services sectors.

If you should have any questions about these changes, please contact HACSU Assist on 1300 651 931.

In Union,

HACSU
