Call for Abstracts: Victorian Collaborative Mental Health Nursing Conference 2018

2018-03-07

The Vic Collab Conference showcases and celebrates the specialist practice of mental health nursing. It’s a proudly ‘grassroots’ event that welcomes the participation of early, mid-career and veteran MH nurses, researchers & nursing academics alike.

SAVE THE DATE:  2 & 3 AUGUST 2018

The Conference is seeking abstracts for presentations on the specialist practice of  mental health nursing across the breadth of service settings: public, private, clinical, community and non-traditional. Abstracts that showcase effective therapeutic approaches across any stage of life are welcomed.

Submission guidelines:

Abstracts up to 200 words are invited for:

• 20 minute paper presentations
• 10 minute paper presentations
• 5 minute ‘rapid fire’ group presentations

Abstract submissions close on Thursday 5 April 2018.

We strongly encourage all HACSU members who work in mental health nursing to consider submitting an abstract. Collab Conference is a great way to further develop your mental health nursing skills no matter your experience - the whole ethos is about together to learn.

Your HACSU Assistant State Secretary Paul Healey is on the organising committee for this conference and has pushed hard to make sure that graduate nurses are included in the conference so as to best support new nurses in further developing their practice.

Post-grad nurses are encouraged to submit their abstracts and are elegible for a first time speaker award!
