Certainty for disability update #17

PAB No. 13: Refuse to Communicate with DHHS

PAB No. 4: Refuse to undertake any courier work

Archiving and renewal of Accommodation Service Files

DHHS East DAS and DHHS East Records is undertaking archiving and renewal of Accommodation Service Files (ASF) in the coming weeks as required by the RSPM.  HACSU advises members that the following protected action bans apply:

No. 13, Refuse to communicate with DHHS area, division or central offices, excluding payroll; and

No. 4, Refuse to undertake any courier work

If members are contacted by DHHS management or DHHS Records about the ASFs, you do not have to participate, you can say that you are engaged in protected industrial action and are applying protected action bans No. 13 and No.4.

Because of protected action, you will not be communicating with management or participating in the process.  This may include accommodation staff communicating with DHHS managers and/or records staff as well as any participation in the process.

This may also include Operations Manager roles coordinating between DHHS Record East and houses and any participation in the process.

If you have any questions about the protected action bans, please call HACSU ASSIST on 9340 4100 / 1300 651 931 or email ASSIST@hacsu.asn.au.

If you work with someone who isn’t a HACSU member, talk to them and ask them to join. Together we are stronger and together we can win.
