HACSU officials continue to meet with the DHHS, to negotiate the new DHHS HACSU EBA. We have discussed a number of our claims with the DHHS to date, nothing has been agreed, but negotiations are progressing.

HACSU is busy drafting a number of clauses that we will provide to the DHHS for further discussion. We have agreed to meet on a weekly basis [instead of twice weekly] for six hours at a time. This will allow more sufficient time for the DHHS to seek feedback from relevant departments on HACSU’s proposed clauses.

The first HACSU delegates Enterprise Bargaining Reference Group will be held on 29th November. This group is made up of delegates who represent both metro and rural/regional areas, all classifications and DAS and client services. This group will provide advice to HACSU officials who are negotiating the Enterprise Agreement and gather any identified evidence to enhance our negotiations.

Your protected action ballot will have arrived by now. VOTE YES AND RETURN THE BALLOT IMMEDIATELY. Changes to Australia Post services mean that mail can now take several days to reach its destination. All ballots must arrive at the Australian Electoral Commission in Melbourne by early December. Don’t forget to return the ballot in the envelope provided and remind your colleagues to do the same.
