DSEAV Update and Members' Meetings

2022-03-10

HACSU has been negotiating for a replacement Disability Services Enterprise Agreement Victoria 2022-2025 (DSEAV 2) since September, with Home@Scope, Life Without Barriers and Possability working productively with us to discuss DSEAV 2.

Former Fair Work Commissioner, Julius Roe, has been facilitating the discussions. The Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH) has also been negotiating.

Please note that at this time Melba Support Services and Aruma are not bargaining with HACSU.

Whilst DSEAV 2 is meant to be a rollover as part of our 8-year deal won in 2018, HACSU has asked providers to consider the following clauses to improve members' working lives:

  • Five days paid reproductive health and wellbeing leave clause
  • Superannuation paid fortnightly
  • Vaccination leave clause
  • Gender equity clause
  • Improved rostering clause (that provides more clarity around the roster review process)

The above are improvements in addition the 3% wage increases we've won until 2025. These wage increases are very good and above the Public Sector Wages Policy.

We have now reached an in-principle agreement with these three providers and want to update all members covered by the DSEAV.

Next week, we're hosting three Zoom members' meetings, which you can now register for — click the below links to go to the registration page for each meeting.

Outreach will be having a meeting on Thursday March 24 at 3PM, accessible via this Zoom link.

We've scheduled multiple meetings to allow members to attend while not rostered. If this isn't possible for you, time release can be provided to attend when rostered on duty — subject to there being no impact on service provision. Please contact HACSU at assist@hacsu.asn.au should you require time release.

Should you have any questions about this please contact HACSU Assist on 03 9340 4100.
