Delegate Nominations

A UNION IS ONLY AS GOOD AS ITS MEMBERS!

It’s that time of year again and we are calling for members who are proactive and want to further their involvement with HACSU to become delegates or workplace contacts. Delegates and contacts are an essential part to any union and HACSU is no exception.

What’s involved? 

It’s simple, to become a delegate or workplace contact, find two colleagues who are members and get them to sign your form. Fill out the rest of the form and mail it to PO Box 206, Carlton, VIC 3053, or email it to hacsu@hacsu.asn.au.

As a delegate or contact you may be entitled to attend our delegate conferences, assist other members with issues, and access a wide range of training. However you will also be expected to keep the office up to date with what is happening at your workplace, ensure HACSU is well represented in your workplace, recruit members, attend rallies, and be active and reliable when required.

 Union strength relies on the active participation of union members. Union delegates play an essential role in working with union members and officials in building and maintain this participation. If your workplace does not have a representative you may be interested in becoming either a sub-branch delegate, house/program delegate or contact.
