Farewell to John Creamer (& welcome to new organisers!)

After 30 great years at HACSU our comrade, colleague and friend, John Creamer, is retiring.

John was as a longstanding HACSU member and Delegate at Thomas Embling Hospital before joining us full-time as an Organiser.

As an Organiser John has worked tirelessly for members across a number of employers including: Forensicare, Monash Health, Peninsula Health, Life Without Barriers, ARUMA and Melba, to name a few. He represented many members in individual matters, as well as providing representation for Change Impact Statements, roster reviews, and industrial matters.

John’s OH&S expertise will be particularly missed by all at HACSU, as will his charm, work ethic and ever positive presence.

John has been a wonderful mentor for many organisers and delegates at HACSU, and maintained great patience and kindness while new staff were getting up to speed.

John was instrumental in getting the HACSU BBQ Trailer on the road, so think of him next time you see it pull in to a workplace near you.

We will miss John, and wish him and his wife Cathy all the best in retirement.

New organisers

New organisers Mohamud Ibad, Louise Soklevski, and Calum Hyslop have joined the HACSU team. With the growth at HACSU, there’s been some movements in our organising team so you may see a new HACSU face in your worksite soon!
