Forensicare EBA Update

Dear Forensicare HACSU Members,

After an incredibly long campaign, the Government has made an offer of settlement for the Forensicare EBA. Click here for an overview of the offer, which we have broken down into applicable classifications.

Most of the big items in this offer are those relating to common clauses meaning ALL staff working under the EBA will receive them (e.g. parental leave and superannuation improvements).

We haven't included some small drafting/wording changes in this document; however, if you would like a full copy outlining all the format/wording changes, please contact your area organiser or HACSU on 1300 651 931.

As always, it is entirely up to members whether an offer is rejected or accepted. This is your EBA, your workplace, and your union.

There are pros and cons to each path forward — to assist members in making an informed decision, we have outlined the options in the offer breakdown document with a view of the pros and cons of each.

We will be hosting a members' meeting at 7PM on Thursday 20 January 20th. Pre-register via this link to attend.

An SMS poll will be sent on Wednesday 19 January to HACSU Members.

To have your response counted, you must reply YES or NO by 5PM on Monday 24 January.

If you do not receive an SMS by 5PM Thursday, please contact with your current mobile phone number so we can ensure your details are up to date.

Please note that if the Government’s offer is accepted, there will be a further vote of HACSU members to endorse the agreement once drafting has been completed.

In unity,
