Welcome to new HACSU members who joined us in the last month! We’ve jumped into January at HACSU. Officials visited Longford to support the Esso workers who have been locked out of their jobs for almost 600 days.

As you might know, we’ve got some upcoming training for Health and Safety Representatives as well as HACSU Delegate training over the next few months. Contact us for more information if you’re interested in this training.

Lunar New Year is coming up on 5th of February! 2019 is the Year of the Pig and we hope members who celebrate the festival will be enjoying time with family and friends. We also celebrated World Braille Day on 4th of January!

We’ll soon be finishing up our successful Roster Remediation Project at DHHS Disability houses. We’d like to thank Senior Organiser Angela on her diligent work on this project and everyone involved in ensuring that rosters are current and accurate coming up to the Secondment phase of the Transfer.

We’ve had a big win at Barwon Health with a change in culture that has meant staff are happier and enjoying being at work! Congratulations to our Barwon Health members on this victory!

We’d also like to congratulate our dedicated member Carolyn Panhorst on recently being presented with the Deputy Secretary Award for Exceptional Work and Leadership. Well done to Carolyn!
