HACSU WIN CPD PAYMENT DISPUTE AND CONTINUE TO FIGHT FOR XMAS LUMP SUM PAYMENTS

2016-12-06

After concerted HACSU advocacy, the VHIA have now advised that all services have now been instructed to make the September CPD payments.

HACSU had been pursuing this matter with the VHIA since September and settled the dispute when the union advanced the matter to the Minister’s office.

As a result, the VHIA have now notified all health services to make the September payment.

The following letter has been sent to all Victorian Mental Health services from the VHIA.

If you are not paid correctly please speak to your HR department. The letter can be used to support your claim for unpaid CPD.

This letter acknowledges the efforts by HACSU to resolve this important pay dispute.

HACSU will continue to lobby the minister regarding the lump sum payments which have been agreed in principle as part of the new EBA. HACSU has written to the VHIA twice, seeking to expedite the drafting process to finalise an agreement and all payments.

HACSU have also written to the VHIA to discuss the lump sum payments are paid prior to Xmas. Read a copy of the letter here.

HACSU’s protected action bans remain in place in order to accelerate the drafting process and keep the pressure on to reach a final agreement.
