This is a full-time role with the purpose of providing expert advice and support to HACSU members.

We are seeking a highly motivated and driven individual who can work with HACSU leadership and build relationships with HACSU members and delegates.

Area Organisers are responsible for members and delegates in a geographical area. Organisers provide members with advice and representation, and organise the workforce more broadly including getting members active in the union.

To succeed as an Area Organiser, you must have strong leadership skills and must be able to motivate members and delegates while providing them with ongoing development and support.

We are seeking candidates who have a strong understanding of and commitment to the union movement and can confidentially represent members with employers and before Tribunals such as the Fair Work Commission.

They must also have strong IT skills and an eagerness to learn and innovate to build a stronger union.

The successful applicant will be required to perform some out-of-hours work and undertake regional travel.
