Nominations are called for: 

- Delegate to National Council (1)

Nominations 
Written nominations, which comply with the registered rules of the Union, will open on 05/06/2019 and must reach the Returning Officer via the lodgement method(s) stipulated below not later than 12 noon AEST on 19/06/2019.  Nominations cannot be withdrawn after this time. 

Nomination Forms  
Nomination forms are available from the Returning Officer, the website of the AEC (www.aec.gov.au) or the website of the Union or Branch (www.hsu.net.au) 

How to lodge nominations, nominations must be lodged via the following method(s):

(Please contact the Returning Officer to make an appointment if lodging nomination/s by hand) 
By email: A properly completed nomination form including all necessary signatures and attachments may be scanned and submitted as a pdf file to vicelections@aec.gov.au 

PLEASE NOTE: 

1.    Emails to the AEC inbox that appear to be spam may be blocked. It is the responsibility of senders to ensure that their email reaches the AEC before the deadline for nominations.

2.    In order to be able to be received by the AEC, emails (including attachments) should be no greater than 6 MB in size.

3.    You may call 03 9285 7177 to check receipt of your nomination. 

Candidate Statements and Photographs 
Candidates may submit a statement and passport sized photograph to be included with ballot material.  Only statements and photographs which comply with the Rules and are received by the Returning Officer with the candidate’s nomination form not later than 12 noon AEST on 19/06/2019 can be accepted.  Statements and photographs are preferred in Word and jpeg format respectively.

Voting Period 
The ballot, if required, will open on 25/07/2019 and close at 12 noon AEST on 22/08/2019. 

Scrutineers 
As per the registered rules of the Union, candidates are entitled to appoint a Scrutineer who may be present at all stages of the ballot.  The appointment of scrutineers opens on 05/06/2019 and closes 12 noon AEST 19/06/2019.  A form is available from the Returning Officer for the purpose of appointing a Scrutineer. 

Other Information
Changed Address? Members should notify the Union of any change to their address.    A copy of the AEC's election report can be obtained from the Union or from the Returning Officer after the completion of the election.
