Recently, HACSU conducted a survey to gather information about the factors that contribute to violence, abuse, neglect, and exploitation of people with disabilities.

Members provided invaluable insights, raising important issues such as the need for training, professional development, supervision, and adequate staffing and rostering arrangements.

Thanks to your submissions and case studies we were able to submit a comprehensive submission to the Royal Commission, as part of the HSU. The submission sheds light on the critical steps that need to be taken to prevent these harmful incidents and keep both workers and participants safe.
