Upcoming meetings for the Disability multi-employer agreement

The MEA is a multi-employer agreement between HACSU and over 20 employers across Victoria (full list at the bottom of this page).

HACSU won this agreement in 2019 to ensure your wages and conditions are better than the award.

After working on your new EBA since August 2022, HACSU has reached an in-principle agreement on your new EBA.

We're asking members to attend an online consultation meetings on Tues 16 May & Weds 17 May to go over the changes and discuss next steps.

You need only register for one online meeting, as the agenda for each is identical. All employers covered by the agreement have been made aware of the meeting times.

At these meetings, after discussing the agreement, HACSU organisers will be holding endorsement votes. This is an initial vote of HACSU members, to endorse going forward with the proposed agreement.

Alongside protecting your hard-won conditions and entitlements, the proposed agreement includes a number of wins:

  • Superannuation paid fortnightly
  • Inclusion of a clear discipline process
  • Access to EAP enshrined
  • Equal access to parental leave
  • Update to sleepover rate (now $80.90)
  • Casuals included in 15 days family and domestic violence leave entitlement
  • Pregnancy loss leave
  • New limits on use of fixed term contracts
  • Clearer definition of casual employment

If you have any questions regarding the EBA or this process, you'll be able to ask them at the meetings. In the meantime, as always, you can contact your organiser or get in touch with us at on 1300 651 931.
